 :)Hello everybody, I need help,
I used AutoCAD2004 version according chapter 6. room fire of pyrosim example guide , like painting a graphic, and then follow the user manual described“ in import DXF files ”to import into the pyrosim, however, completely changed the shape, do not know why?
Is  the 2004 version is too low, or how kind? Huh
thanks?

I''m not sure, it looks like you are getting a combination of extruded 2D geometry and directly imported 3D geometry.

I''ve added DXF to the list of allowed upload attachments.

Can you attach/upload the DXF?

Thank you for your reply.
I uploaded this dxf file, do not know whether the problem is still not compatible , I think the problem should not be the drawing!

Unfortunately, PyroSim is not able to infer enough information from the DXF LINE entities.  Rather than being treated as bounding edges for your furniture, they are being imported as walls (extended upward).  My understanding is that for this sort of geometry, POLYLINE (as a polyface mesh) and 3DFACE entities are imported properly by PyroSim.

I''ve never used AutoCAD, but maybe we can get someone else to respond.

However, based on what I just read here:

http://docs.autodesk.com/ACD/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%202010%20User%20Documentation/index.html?url=WS73099cc142f48755-1257e12111bf108800e-2168.htm,topicNumber=d0e100155

...it looks like maybe you may have created a wireframe model, instead of a solid model?  To reproduce FDS models in AutoCAD maybe some of the mesh primitives would be more appropriate:
