Measuring Toxicity
«

Hi there
In a recent building i am modelling i am losing visibility pretty quickly due to the fire size and grwoth rate (These cannot be changed). Therefor i must measure the toxicity (Carbon monoxide and Carbon dioxide) levels at each of my door exits as occupants will be queuing at each exit to get out. I have placed a photoelctric P1 detector at each of the exit doors, but i am unsure what other parameters in pyrosim i should be checking to read the toxicity. Should this be enough to measure the toxicity levels at each of the exits? Do i have to change anthing in the output tabs to get results???
Thanks

Hello,
Please take a look at Section "14.3.9 Fractional Effective Dose (FED)" in the FDS user guide. In PyroSim, you can select the FED sensor type in the Gas Phase Device dialog.
