Thought we could have a thread where everyone can add their suggestions for future releases of Pathfinder.

Current suggestions:
  • Ability to set delay (pre-movement) time as a probability function for occupants/occupant groups (where the pre-movement time of an individual in an occupant group is randomized according to the probability distribution)
  • A function to display all occupants that are using a specific exit
  • Given how many times I receive a "Fatal Error", an autosave function

Great! Thanks for making a topic. With PyroSim, we've been testing a website, ideascale.com, as another way to bring in and discuss ideas and feature requests. Here is a link to our Pathfinder section of that website:

In Pathfinder 2011, we moved the pre-movement time feature into the behavior. However, you can still set it to be a uniform or standard normal distribution of times for that behavior. With a behavior selected, click on the blue text next to Initial Delay to bring up the dialog.

Unfortunately, prior to simulating, we only know occupant exit choices for occupants with specifically assigned exits (via the behavior system). You can identify those occupants by right-clicking a behavior and clicking Select Referencing Objects.
