Hi all

I am new to PyroSim and FDS and I am trying to simulate sprinkler fire extinguishing process. I found out on this forum, that to work properly, I have to set Extinguishing Coefficient to nonzero value. However, I dont understand the unit m2/s/kg, could you explain it to me, any example or so? What value should I set?

Thanks much for help Smiley

The best explanation I know if is in the FDS users guide, section 12.5: "Special Topic: Suppression by Water (Mixture Fraction Model Only)". It gives the governing equations that explain mass loss rate and the impact of water.
