In the samples, some of the Simulation Parameters are unseleted, and does it have impacts on the results? For example, the Environment are not selected by default.

Thanks.

PyroSim tries to keep your FDS input file "clean" by not writing default values to the simulator. If an option in PyroSim is not enabled (like the parameters on the Environment tab), those parameters will not be written to the simulator input file. Parameters will also not be written (in many cases) if they match the FDS default. FDS has a robust set of defaults, and you usually do not need to set any parameters that aren''t an important part of your current simulation.

As for the impact these settings have on the results: Sure, some have a huge impact. Others change how certain output files are written. However, both PyroSim and FDS are set up so you don''t have to understand the entirety of the software to get work done. If you don''t understand a particular option, it''s best to just leave it at the default value.
